Two women and a young man with curly hair are standing in a room with wooden flooring. The women are engaged in a conversation with the young man, who is holding a picture frame. One woman has glasses and is wearing a blue and white patterned top, while the other woman is in a green top. The man is dressed in a black shirt and jeans, with sneakers on the floor. The scene appears to be in an indoor setting with plain walls and minimal decor.

Since 1966, Latinos Unidos del Condado de Sonoma has believed that education is one of the most powerful ways to create lasting change. Our Scholarship Program helps low-income and first-generation students access higher education and pursue opportunities that can transform their future.

Supporting Student Success

Each year, we award between $50,000 and $90,000 in scholarships to students continuing their education through college, university, vocational, and technical programs.

2026 Scholarship funding goal: $150,000

In 2025, the demand for scholarships far exceeded available resources:

  • We received 158 scholarship applications

  • We were only able to award 80 scholarships

That means nearly half of qualified, motivated students were unable to receive support—not because they didn’t earn it, but because funding was limited.

Behind every one of those numbers is a student making difficult decisions about whether college is still possible.
